Experts in the psychology of aging have highlighted the importance of maintaining emotional connections with older adults. “Loneliness in old age not only affects people emotionally, but also has physical consequences. Human connection can be as important as any medicine,” says Dr. Elisa Méndez, a gerontologist.

But beyond statistics or studies, what this video has achieved is the most valuable thing: to momentarily halt the frenetic pace of social media and provoke reflection.
